Champions Cup - Rounds 6 and 7 Results
June 22, 2006
By Jason Gilkey
Well, I am pleased to say I am now the proud dad of a HUGE little girl. And while I've been gone, the league is just going CRAZY. Has anyone played a singles match in 3 weeks or what? All of this is causing a new rule change, and we humbly ask the captains to try and make the singles matches work.

As for the tennis and funny stuff that I've missed, sorry I can't report on anything. Give me a pass for the past 2 weeks, then see if I can redeem myself.

RULES AND MISCELLANEOUS BORING STUFF
1. All-In is in trouble. Sean Cooley just moved for new job, and Jim Toth is still hurt. Cooley's leaving means that the rest of team moves up the ladder, so only thing other teams need to know is that Daniel Gifford is eligible for #1 doubles (he was #7, now he's #6).

2. MAIN RULE: with everyone defaulting both singles, we have to make a change. Here is the new default rules:
If you are short one player, default #2 singles.
If you are short two players, default #3 doubles.
If you are short three players, default #2 singles and #3 doubles.
If you are short four players, default #2 doubles and #3 doubles.
If you are short five players, default #2 singles, #2 doubles and #3 doubles.
SUMMARY: You cannot default #1 singles or #1 doubles until everything else has been exhausted.

GOES INTO EFFECT: STARTING NEXT WEEK (WEEK 9) THROUGH END OF YEAR.
