2006 Music City Challenger
October 31, 2006
The 3rd annual $75,000 Men's Pro-Circuit Tennis tournament will be at Vanderbilt Indoor Courts November 6-11, 2006. This event features players ranked 60-200 in the world in a 32 player singles and a 16 team doubles draw. The matches begin at 11 am each day with feature evening matches beginning at 6 pm. The finals are scheduled to begin at 6 pm Saturday, November 11th. General admission is free. Sponsors and VIP Patrons enjoy premium seating with coaches and players upstairs, where complimentary catering and beverages will be served during the evening matches.
The tournament is a fun family event and showcases the game's rising stars. Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, James Blake, Mardy Fish, and Robby Ginepri all played Challenger events on their way to the top of the ATP. The 2006 Music City Challenger boasts the highest-ranked entry list on the Challenger Circuit for the second year in a row, including Mark Philippoussis, Vince Spadea, and former two-time all- American Vanderbilt standout, Bobby Reynolds (currently ranked #150). Bring your family, friends or co-workers for lunch or dinner (concessions on site) and enjoy the matches!
Please consider supporting the tournament as a sponsor, patron, or volunteer (call 498-5379 or email:
rockyadcox@gtrc.us). We need your support to build on the tournament’s past success and to make it a great annual event.
We hope to see you there!
Thanks,
Tommy Frist, Rocky Adcox, Charles Batt, Nancy Schultz, Fletcher Lance, Matt Fones, Daphne Butler, Steve Baker, Matt Bulow, Greg Chambers, and John Yancey
